Fall 1997: All, Anybody who doesn't play in Fox's roto-basketball league is a Bob Davie fan. The Magic Mazins *************************************************** Mags, How about The Nuzzas for your team name? You know, as in, "Shall we have anuzza?" Gabes *************************************************** Nuzzas? What's going on here? Somebody please refresh my memory. This "anuzza" phrase- from whence came it? I don't remember having used such diction but it keeps cropping up- autobiography, team names? And who would I have said it to? I wish to defend my reputation as the diligent, studious college student I was. I spent many a Friday and Saturday evenings in a carrel at the library (what a bleeping waste of time!) only to return to zahm to find my dear friends in drunken, dazed stupors playing Risk, arguing the merits of macroeconomics (?, maybe not), wandering to the huddle, grotto, or St. Mary's (some choice!), or just somehow passing the time. I was always playing catch-up, or getting trapped listening to the Little Man talk about the latest Banaceck (sic) episode or Ross MacDonald book. So where did this "anuzzah" come from? I don't REMEMBER. Yet I remember many of these other little pictures. Maybe it was the trip to Michigan State, where we ended up in "CJ's" (a real sweet blonde who I fell in love with) room after coaxing Fox down from a tree. Surely the connotations associated with this phraseology belong to others amongst this crowd. It could have been one or more of many of you guys- Willo, Agosta, Ikey, the venerable O'Brien, maybe Albert (yes, definitely Albert), Andy, Andy, Andy. I can picture all of you slurring out the phrase (well, maybe I'm the only one who would slur it). But that picture on the website of Johnny Goodtimes- I swear he's saying "anuzzah" as that photo was snapped. "Say ANUZZAH" (click). jj ***************************************************************** Mags, Yeah sure... the studious type you were. What was the name of that pinball game that you were "bar champ" at. I remember it had playing card figures you had to knock down. And you were oh so good at it. John
