British Open Pool 2021 Day 1 If you started early, the chances were very good that you scored better than those later in the day. Little Louie leads the way with a 64, 6 under, followed closely by Jordan Spieth at 65 and Justin Rose at 67. Not a coincidence all three are on Fox's team - the leaders after Day 1. But, only by ONE. Gabes' 6 players each shot under par, but they could only manage a 2nd place performance on Thursday. I did see some of the early action. Zalatoris had a roller coaster round. Something like 6 bogies, 5 birdies, an eagle and the rest pars. Bryson as of the 12th hole had hit only one fairway. No way he makes the weekend if that continues on Friday. The PGA Tour radio broadcast was a great listen. The British broadcasters with their commentary was fun. For example, three is tree. and thirty is Turtee. A good shot was a 'lovely effort'. On Friday the early players go late and vice versa, so who knows what the leader board will look like at the end of the day. Enjoy the golf. Good luck to everyone. Hans Day 2 Collin Morikawa looked unstoppable when shooting a 64. His strong performance was the key to Andy's amazing team score day 2, running away with the top honors. Jack and Fox tied for second, and as a result, split the $9.45 for daily second place. don't spend it all in one place..... I shouldnt be so flip about their winnings, as my Ace Holes were just that, with half the team already on an airplane back to the mainland. Gabes and Fox both have all 6 players making the cut. They will likely finish 1 - 2 or 2 - 1, but Andy's team of 4 will definitely have a say in the matter. Al, sorry you were unable to field a team. I know that your horse, DJ, is playing well. I dont know the others, so can't comment. Fortunately for me, in addition to the 3 team members making the cut, i have another 6 players not in my pool roster who made the cut. I did not check the weather in England this weekend. Hopefully the wind will blow and rain will fall. Let's watch the best players have some challenges for a change. Good luck to all, and enjoy the early morning golf. Hans Day 3 It looks like Day 4 tomorrow will be a real shoot out. Little Louie holds the lead, now only one over Collin Morikawa, with Jordan Spieth only 2 shots back. As for our competition, Fox's Red Foxes again took top daily honors, with Andy's Happy Hookers grabbing 2nd money. Not only did the Hookers take 2nd today, they are now solidly in second for overall money! Foxes 950 Hookers 954 Foreskins 970 (Gabes) Smoothies 974 (Jack) no one else has a shot at top three money.... Hopefully I will have more commentary tomorrow after the conclusion. Day 4 I watched some of the early action and saw little Louie make bogie on par 5 #7 while Morikawa made a birdie. A two shot swing that Morikawa never relinquished. A spectacular day at Royal St. Georges confirmed by the excellent the overall scoring. On to the rest of the golf season....
