Final 2020 Golf Write Up by Gabes As I say every year, our wonderful Roto Golf format allows you to make money in many different ways, even if you don’t take first place. Let’s get inside this year’s numbers. -Sobo and his Seekers ran away with it this year. He looked like the winner going way back to the restart in June. It all started with the draft last December when I fucked up and took Brooks Koepka and let J.T. slide to Sobo with the next pick. Sobo never looked back after that. He rode J.T. and other good golfers to pretty much sweep across the board. He took first place money, had the most weekly skins, mopped up in side bets, took home the low weekly score of the year, a 31 in week 5, and did well in the majors side bets. Total it all up and Sobo won $666.94. Congrats! -Hans’ Holes started out well and then faded, but they came roaring back to finish in second place. Hans also made some nice money in side bets, but he didn’t do well in weekly skins or the majors side bets. That kept his total winnings down, but he still won $174.18. -Andy’s Hookers were solid all year. He took third place, and he also won a major skin, and did well in the majors side bets. Add it all up and Andy won $229.28. -My Skins took fourth place, but Bryson won me a major skin, and my team swept up a league best $271.43 in the majors side bets. Add it all up, and my Skins had the second best payout at $332.56. -Mags and his Mullies took the final money spot, but that’s about all they had to show for the year. His team did poorly in weekly skins and the majors side bets, and they also lost a little bit of money in side bets. Mags loses $235.26. -The lucky, dumb bleepbleeper wasn’t so lucky this year. His Foxes did do well in weekly skins, though. That kept his losses down to a more manageable $195.00. -Ikey and his Heroes did well to climb out of the cellar in the final months, but that’s about all they had to show for the year. They finished in seventh place, but they never won a weekly skin, lost money in side bets, and didn’t do well in the majors side bets. Ikey loses $345.60. -Jackie’s Smoothies were anything but this year. They finished just out of the cellar, but D.J.’s win at The Masters, and doing well in side bets, helped ease the pain. Jackie loses only $239.15. -Al’s Balls fell to the cellar as the season moved along. Other than a couple of weekly skins, he really had nothing more to show for the year. Al loses a league worst $387.95. Commissioner Asshole
