PGA 2019 Albert's Pool Day 1 Only 8 players, never got picks from Ikey. (If u sent and I missed them, please advise) Sobo takes Day 1 honors w nothing worse than 1 over for his six golfers. Mags edges Andy for second today.... Tightly packed Day 1, only 9 strokes from first to worst. I was out there today w/ Mags, my brother, son and nephew. Great day, fantastic venue, and finally some great weather. And Koepka is a machine! Smoked Tiger by 9 strokes today in the same group. I suspect that Masters Sunday pissed him off a bit. Andy had that -7 player on his squad, an no one else in our pool bested Fleetwood's -3. Buy alas... Andy was edged out today for any $$$. Only 1 of his other 5 matched par. So it goes.... But I like his chances for a Major skin, and for Koepka double down on the PGA as he did the US Open. Day 2 Fox takes Day 2 honors with a -9, led by Scott's 64 (but brutal miss on 17, could have tied low US Major score). . Andy was but 2 strokes behind, riding the coattails of the golfing machine, Brooks Koepka, and his 65. Andy and Fox tied for first overall, Sobo two behind. 4 over is the cut. Of course... as I had THREE golfers ALL at 145, +5. Bubba Watson had a 4 footer on 18 for a 68 and 144.... and the moron missed it. And I now only have three golfers on a 4 man weekend. And THAT is why they call me Mr. Loser!!! Day 3 It has been postulated in the past that my celerity in posting updates in the pools I run is in direct proportion to how well I am doing at that time. Well, this Day 3 update on Day 4 lends additional credibility to that theory. Sobo had an impressive 4 stroke victory on Day 3... 2 over 282. Fox and Gabes tied for second, 4 stokes back. Overall, Sobo vaults into the lead over Fox by 2 strokes. Andy is seven off Sobo's oace. I sit only one behind Andy, but with only 3 golfers going, I am doomed. Gabes and Hans are six behind Andy for the last $$$ slot. Sobo, Fox and Gabes all have 5 playing today.... Andy and Hans have only 4. Mags and Jack... c u at the US Open. Day 4 Lots more drama than I would have imagined.... 7 stroke lead shrinks to 1. But DJ couldn't keep it going, Koepka rights the ship after 4 straight bogeys, and now owns an amazing "double-double". Gabes smokes the field on Day 4, besting Andy by six (takes second) and ties Andy for second overall. But neiher scared Sobo, who coastd home a 6 stroke winner. $35 entry fee, Sobo has the $$$ Ranked by Score 1 Sobo 349 348 282 288 1267 Winners Sobo Mags Fox Andy Gabes 2 Gabes 355 351 286 281 1273 Day 1 19.60 8.40 3 Andy 352 343 291 287 1273 Day 2 19.60 8.40 4 Fox 354 341 286 297 1278 Day 3 19.60 4.20 4.20 5 Hans 358 346 288 294 1286 Day 4 8.40 19.60 6 Albert 354 346 290 301 1291 Final 100.80 33.60 33.60 7 Jack 353 354 293 297 1297 Total 140.00 8.40 32.20 42.00 57.40 8 Mags 351 355 293 299 1298 9 10 11 #1 Daily Sobo Mags #2 Daily Fox Andy # 3 Daily Sobo Fox/Gabes # 4 Daily Gabes Andy
