Masers 2017 - Albert's Pool Day 1 Charlie Hoffman and Will McGirt are the only players in the 60's on Day 1. Hoffman was 4 shots clear of McGirt and led my suddenly Shriveled Balls (no DJ) but the others did not pull their weight and I finished two strokes short in the tight race for second. Ikey takes second, 1 over Gabes and Fox, 2 over me and Mags. Sobo only 3 behind Mags... but then bigger dropoff to Hans and Andy who bring up the rear But in a league of his own for today was Jack's team who, like Hoffman, had his way with the field, taking a 7 point lead. Between this and his start in Roto Baseball, I am quite sure that Jack is giddy with and titillated by his recent good fantasy fortune Fri is the most important day of the Tourney... ya gotta get 4 man minimum into the weekend. Day 2 Andy's team takes Day 2 honors w Mags just 2 strokes behind. Mags moves into overall lead w/ Jack but a single stroke behind, and Fox w/ his 5 man team just one behind. But Mags only has 4 alive for weekend, w/ the other contenders having 5. Day 3 Jack's boys had another great day, edging Gabes team by 2 strokes. And more importantly, he has opened a big 8 point lead heading into the final day. Mags holds second with his 4 remaining players, Sobo and Fox close behind. Day 4 Well, even if u r not a big Sergio fan, u had to be happy for him today. Rose had his US Open and Olympic Gold... so it was easy to root for Sergio to get the Major monkey off his back. Great back nine, great drama. No drama in our event for first place... Jack was our run away winner. But Gabes did manage to beat him by a stroke though on Day 4 Interesting sidebar story: Fox managed to finish SECOND OVERALL.... without ever finishing in the money for any individual day of the event. I can almost guarantee that that has never happened in the history of these Major pools. Fox, maybe ur class can figure out the probability of that happening. Fox edged Mags by 2 strokes, as Mags scores third place $$$, edging Gabes by a single stroke.
