Albert's Pool - British 2017 Day 1 Tightly packed Day 1, with Gabes and Mags halving for two low scores of the day. BTW, Snedeker did not make the tee for Gabes, so he plays Billy Horschel and his 76. So tie for first is impressive for Gabes. Also, Ikey did not start Matt Kuchar, and does not get the benefit of his 65. Ahhh, what the hell. I am sure that Ikey is enjoying his cruise on the Danube regardless. Day 2 Tough day at Royal Birkdale, but when the going gets tough, the tough Dimpled Balls get going. My boys bested Andy by 5 strokes today, with Mags team one stroke back of second place $. My surge gives me a slim lead over Mags after Day 2. The attached sheet highlights in yellow those golfers who were cut. Mags has 5 going over the weekend and I have all six. Gabes has 5, most 4, Ikey only 3, and Fox can plan on doing something else this weekend with only Pieters on the course for the Foxes. Given that he is a lucky dumb cocksucker, I now expect Pieters to bring home the Major Skin for him. As for the overall tourney, Spieth seems locked in. But Koepka lurks. Kuchar staying strong despite Ikey's lack of confidence in him. But watch out for McIlroy. He was 5 OVER after six holes, now sits one under after 2 days. Day 3 Part 1: Stark reversal from yesterday's weather, sunny and calm, and the Big Dogs are enjoying some big bites of this track. At this writing, 49 of 53 players on the course are under par. Day is in w 5 under 65. Grace is 6 under after 14 w/ the 2 par 5's left; he's got a shot a record 62. Dufner is 3 under after 9, DJ is 4 under after 7. So go low, or go home on Day 3 at Royal Birkdale. Enjoy the fireworks. Part 2: Gabes Foreskins are getting hard early this Sat am. Casey is in at 65, Leishman at 66. And Grace just hit the fairway on 16 at 6 under! Casey is 1 under, and Henley yet to tee off. The bar is going to set very high ... or, more accuratley, very LOW for today's low score honors. Cause the Big Dogs of the Foreskins aren't just eating - they are making pigs of themselves! Part 3: Gabes' boys ate up Royal Birkdale to the tune of TWENTY under today.... besting Hans' impressive 269 by 11 big strokes. Gabes' great day put him in top overall by one stroke. My DB's didn't like the benign conditions, w/ DJ's 64 being the only score under par on a day awash with red numbers. I sit one back, as does Mags. Hans lurks for Top 3 honrs, 2 stroked behind me and Mags. Six more back to Andy. As for the event, two story lines to follow. Spieth on the verge of his 3rd leg of the career Grand Slam, and Kuchar sits three back looking for his first major. Tough to see anyone else being a factor tomorrow. Day 4 Gabes had a one stroke lead heading into the final round over me and Mags. Mags' boys played one under on the final day while my boys, despite DJ's terrible 77, played great and posted an 11 under 269. But Gabes' jagoffs matched my team stroke for stroke, tied me for low score for Day 4, and ends up winning the overall by a single stroke. What an asshole!!!! Blow me, Gabes!!!! As for the tourney, it got more interesting than I thought it would. Spieth taking an unplayable and making bogey on 13 gives Kuchar the lead. But Spieth followed that w birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie, par to put the Kuchar away. A very gutsy finish. Congrats to Andy for his major skin Sobo will update the $$$$, as always, and I'll see u all at the PGA Ranked by Score 1 Gabes 344 372 260 269 1245 Winners Gabes Mags Al Andy Hans 2 Albert 348 354 275 269 1246 Day 1 15.75 15.75 3 Mags 344 360 273 279 1256 Day 2 22.05 9.45 4 Hans 346 364 269 280 1259 Day 3 22.05 9.45 5 Andy 351 359 275 278 1263 Day 4 15.75 15.75 6 Jack 356 361 275 276 1268 Final 113.40 28.35 47.25 7 Sobo 349 367 280 274 1270 Total 166.95 44.10 85.05 9.45 9.45 8 Ikey 356 367 278 287 1288 9 Fox 358 376 293 302 1329 #1 Daily Gabes/Mags Gabes/Mags #2 Daily Al Andy # 3 Daily Gabes Hans # 4 Daily Al/Gabes Al/Gabes
