PGA 2016 Albert's Pool Day 1 Jack's team, who sucked Moose in the UK, smoked the field on Day 1 at the PGA. Gabes and Ikey tied for second. Day 1 didn't seem to have much juice. Walker on the lead was before coverage even started, and no way he holds up. Stenson was solid with 67... As was Day at 68. But DJ and McIlroy may have shot themselves out w/ 77 and 74, respectively. Mickelson shit the bed on the easy side, but came back from 4 over to finish 1 over w/ 3 birds on the tougher front. Spieth finally made some birds after a DB to finish even. Like I said, very little juice today. Day 2 Jack and Ikey came out of the gate hot on Day 1. First and tied for second, respectively. And stayed hot Day 2. They both tied for second on Day 2 with aggregate 9 under scores of 341. But that was not good enough to beat out Hans, who nipped them both by a stroke. It was one of our tightest days of scoring ever, low score 340, highest score 347. Gabes, please figure out the standard deviation amongst the 10 players with those scores ... oh, wait ... You slept thru Mr. Chang's Stats classes. Overall, Jack continues to lead, Ikey 3 back, and Hans 3 more. Gabes was 3 off the pace Day 1 but his high score of 347 Day 2 now has him 9 off the pace. Mags is likely the last player with a shot at the top 3, sitting 2 behind Gabes. Jack and Ikey will be tough to catch, as both have all six of their golfers playing the weekend (where we play the 4 lowest scores. Hans still has 5, as does Mags. Gabes must use all 4 of his remaining golfers. Willo and Sobo can focus their energy on individual efforts of Fowler and Reed, respectively, as their teams are down to only 3 players for the weekend. Day 3 and Final Jack and Mags tied for Day 3 honors as Jack maintained his overall lead. Ikey was solid on Day 3, only 3 back, and that positioned him well for Day 4 final. My motley 4 man crew managed the low team score, -9, on Sunday with all 4 in the 60's. Jack and Gabes were each one stroke back. Mags was only one further back, but Ikey managed a -5, 2 behind Mags, and enough to hold him off and claim second with Mags grabbing the third spot overall. But our wire to wire winner ... just like his man Jimmy Walker ... was Jack. Jack cruises to a 9 stroke win, and was on the $$$ scoreboard EVERY DAY, taking home a whopping $178 of the $350 pool. As always, fun doing this, hope u all enjoyed. We’ll do it all again in April at Augusta.
