Day 1 Not sure what makes me happier... seeing myself tied for the top... or seeing Gabes mired in the cellar. Fortunately, I can simply accept and appreciate both. Sobo ties for top Day 1 honors with lots of golf to be played and anything can happen w/ 6 man teams. But you have to make the cut! Friday is the most important day of the tourney, so good luck to all and enjoy the show. How about Tiger playing along w/ Harrington again, and those boys finishing Top 2? I say we get Harrington on the clock now. :-) ---- Albert - you get a two stroke penalty for posting a wrong score for Tiger. He shot 67, not 65. And Harrington shot 68, not 66. Sobo, congrats on your day 1 top score. The two stroke penalty should be on top of the corrected score. now Gabes can have the last laugh. your golfing buddy, Hans ************************************** Day 2 OK....I think the scores are right this time. My Shriveled Balls came up big on Day 2, and posted the low number by 1 over a resurgent Gabes and take a 9 stroke lead over Hans. All 6 of my boys are playing on the weekend, making them a tough play. But Hans has 5 going, so he is in play. Sobo, Gabes, Jack and Fox have no room for error with 4 players this weekend ************************************** Day 3 Round 3 was very tight, with Gabes edging me by 1, with Fox and Jack missing out second by 1. Had Jack hasYang in hislineup, might have been a different story. I survived terrible rounds by Sabattini and Ogilvy with six starters in my lineup, and the lead has been stretched out to 13. Race for first might be over unlessmy team really collapses today.... but second and third places are VERY tight with 4 strokes separating second from fifth. Woods and Yang in the last group, w/ Harrington playing in the next to last. Jack: Is Yang in your 7 man roster in Gabes' pool? Weather could be a factor... plays into Harrington's hands. Enjoy the 4th round. ************************************** Day 4 and Final Well, we saw history w/ the first Asian born Major winner, and seeing Woods lose his first major while sitting on a 54 hole lead. Good for Yang, he was the better player on Sunday Sobo's 4 man team all played well on Sunday, and his boys bested my 6 man and Hans' 5 man teams for best 4 scores. Impressive! But while Sobo stormed past a fading Gabes (whose big name stars Els, Goosen and Mickelson failed to fire on Sunday), he fell 4 strokes short of Hans' boys, who hold on for second. Only 4 boys made the payout list, and as always, Sobo will handle the accounting w/ Gabes. Hope you enjoyed the Majors this year.... as Nantz stated, likely more interesting for who DIDN'T win as opposed to who did. Perry blows the Masters, up two w/ two to play. Mickelson rallies to tie, then falls short in the US Open. Tom Watson almost pulls off amiracle at the British Open. And Woods loses from the lead in the PGA. Interesting year.....
