Guys, Before I get into the final accounting for the 2005 season, I'd like to thank Fox for all of his behind the scenes efforts to make managing and participating in the CyberZahm Roto Golf League easy and fun. Without the master spreadsheet and roster management site, I'm not sure this league would be possible. Thanks Fox! As I've said before, you're a bleeping genius! The final numbas are as follows: Hans wins $489.60 Al wins $431.88 Gabes wins $446.80 Andy wins $440.00 Sobo wins $58.10 Ikey loses $346.88 Jack loses $368.75 Fox loses $265.75 Prep loses $151.25 Mags loses $429.00 Willo loses $305.00 Gabes also wins a bottle of wine from Hans. Ikey wins a nice bottle of booze from Jack. Ikey wins a nice bottle of wine from Mags. Prep wins a latte from Mags. Details behind the numbers: Just 67 points separated the top four teams after ten long months, and rightfully so, just $57.72 separated the top four teams in total winnings. Hans won the most for finishing first, and he would have won more if it weren't for poor play by his team in the majors side bets. Al finished second, but Andy and I won more money. In my case it was because of winning the greatest number of weekly skins, and posting the team score of 36 which was the low weekly team score of the year. Thanks to Tiger, Andy won three Grand Slam Skins and also did very well in majors side bet action. Al won only one weekly skin or his winnings would have been higher than Andy's and mine. As you all know, there are lots of ways to win money in roto golf. Unfortunately, there's also lots of ways to lose money, too. Ikey and Jack took pretty good poundings even though they finished sixth and seventh. This was primarily because their teams sucked at the weekly skins game, and also because their teams did poorly in majors side bets. They also finished behind the guys with whom they had the largest side bets. Ikey will be able to find some comfort in the bottle, though. As stated above, he won a nice bottle of booze from Jack and a nice bottle of wine from Mags. Fox finished in 8th place, but he lost less than Ikey and Jack because he did better in weekly skins action and because he made smaller side bets. Prep finished 9th and loss less than Ikey, Jack, and Fox. He also made smaller side bets and did OK in weekly skins action, but he spent only $6 on caddy moves. It's amazing that he beat two guys spending so little to manage his team. On the other hand, think what could have been if you did manage your team, Prep. Unfortunately, Mags took the biggest pounding even though his team finished ahead of Willo's miserable squad. The biggest reason was because his team didn't win one weekly skin all season. He was also blanked in the three majors side bets in which he participated. It was just an unlucky year for him all the way around, except for his Taylor vs. Na bet with me. Willo is everyone's girlfriend. His losses would have been even worse were it not for the money he won in majors side bets. As for side bets though, he didn't win any. None. Congrats again to Hans for finishing first in a great race, and to all of the other money winners. Better luck in 2006 to all of the losers. Start studying now, gentlemen. The 2006 draft starts in just 48 days! Gabes
