Guys, Lotsa chatter this week with folks trying to wheel and deal, but it turns out any real action had to go through the City of Brotherly Love. Fox made his move to the top during the month, and tried to solidify it with two trades, offering pitching to bolster his offense. And if you don't believe the saying "When you're hot, you're hot; and when you're not, you're NOT!!" look at his trade with Babs. Al wanted to peddle Dreifort to save a move, so one of the pitchers he gets from Fox is Franklyn German (why he wanted him is anyone's guess, but I won't go there). Guess who got sent down later that day, forcing Al to use his last move, and because of German's number, he got his third choice as the replacement. Fox, on the other hand, saves his last move. Wow!! Anyway, Fox made two trades: the above with the Pansies, and one with the Tamales which sent Raphael Palmiero to the Foxes for Greg Maddux with some others added to the mix. For moves, there were eleven moves, plus Andy's reversal of Santana for Ainsworth. The most popular choices were Scott Podsednik on offense and Dondrelle Willis on the mound. The trade details are: Panzas-Foxes Posada, Dreifort and Hampton go to Foxes... Hall, German, and Oswalt go to Panzas Tamales-Foxes Tamales send Palmiero/Leiter/DeJean to the Foxes for Fullmer/Maddux/Foulke.
