This year's trading deadline is over.   Lots of action from what I could see
and hear, but only three deals to report, including the announcement of the
winner in the Griffey Grab:

The Leathernuts will send Pedro Martinez, Jacque Jones, and a reserve move
to the Tamales for Ken Griffey, Matt Clement, and Brad Ausmus (currently
reserved).  

Pinstripes send Q. Veras and Javy Lopez to the Foxes for Royce Clayton and
Chris Widger.

Tamales send Billy Koch to the Nuzzahs for Aaron Sele, Bruce Chen
(reserved), and M. Cairo (reserved).

Special mention to two owners:

Leathernuts interim skipper Tom Mackley in his first stint piloting the
'Nuts, displayed tenacity and creativity in winning the Griffey Sweepstakes.
Another nice move was adding a starter for the stretch run.  Given their
lack of experience in a Cyberzahm pennant race, it will be interesting to
see how they hold up down the stretch.

And the Hogman.  Literally, and figuratively, asleep at the switch.  An
illegal proposal to the Stripes was left on the table while Willo snoozed
through the night.  It must be age.
